Emerson Mendoza Ayala

Spanish Travel Journalist and Audiovisual Communicator

Emerson Mendoza Ayala is a Travel and Environmental Investigative Journalist and Audiovisual Communicator from Spain. Growing up among the golden dehesas, pristine rivers and serene valleys of Extremadura, and later studying in Seville and Buenos Aires, led him to specialise in environmental research on the Iberian Peninsula and sustainability and culture across Europe.

Emerson’s slow, flight-free travel lifestyle has taken him to all four corners of Europe by land and sea, allowing him an intimate understanding of the cultural, gastronomic and sociopolitical situations of the countries he visits and those he has settled in.
